1. Supervisors
OPS position, 10-20 hours per week, current American Red Cross CPR
and First Aid certification required. Supervise student officials
and participants at game sites, tend to injured participants, settle
on-field and on-court rule protests when possible, obtain feedback
from players & spectators regarding their participation in intramural
sports. Good attitude and customer service skills required. Officiating
background a bonus. Candidates typically identified among current
intramural sports officials. Varied hours, usually evenings and late
nights.
Wage: $7.25 per hour.
2.Officials
Opportunities available include officiating for basketball, flag football,
soccer, softball, volleyball and other activities. No prior experience
necessary - we will train you! Knowledge of sports, dependability,
and a "cool head" required. Earn up to $6 an
hour a game!!! Federal work-study & Non-Work Study students eligible.
Varied hours, typically evenings and late nights
Wage: $6.25 per hour.
3. Group Fitness Leader
OPS position. Group Exercise Instructors must possess: Nationally
recognized certification (ACE, AFAA, etc.), Adult CPR and First Aid
Certifications, knowledge/teaching ability of all forms of aerobics
(to include STEP and Hi/Low), knowledge of 32 count combinations,
and good communication skills. Prior teaching experience is preferred.
Successful candidates will be required to attend mandatory training
(dates TBA) prior to the start of the semester.
Wage: $15.00 per class.
4. Score Keepers
Verifies identity with and records information off of the Tech Student
ID and Roster for each participant at game site. Coordinates signing
of release waiver by each participant. Federal work-study students
eligible. Hiring occurs at the beginning of each semester. Varied
hours, typically evenings and late nights.
Wage: $6.25 per hour.
5. Equipment Assistant
Responsible for all details surrounding rental and Group Fitness equipment
use and control, by checking the valid use eligibility of patrons.
May be asked to assist with special programs, events, and any other
duties necessary for quality services. Federal work-study students
eligible. Hours 10-20 per week, typically afternnon.
Wage: $6.25 per hour.
Work-Study and Non-Work Study Program Students
